How it Works
Tattoo inks are made of solid coloured particles, which can be targeted and eliminated by dedicated lasers.Different tattoos might require different types of laser in order to remove them, depending on the type of ink,the colour, and the depth of the tattoo. Heler with an array of lasers can help you with tattoo removal using M22 Q-Switched Nd:Yag laser which releases high-powered pulses of extremely short duration. The intense and rapid heating induced by light absorption leads to a photo-thermal effect. As the chromophore is heated, it undergoes sudden thermal expansion generating shock waves audible as a popping sound with each laser pulse. This photo-acoustic effect generates forces that fragment tattoo pigment particles. The pigment treated this way gradually becomes shallower over time until it fades away. The peripheral tissues remain unaltered making the treatment selective and safe.
Lumenis Q-Switched Nd:Yag is very effective for the removal of dark tattoos and also safefor any skin type. Using a top-hat beam profile ensures control of homogeneous energy delivery and maximum safety without hot-spots nor any risk of side effects or complication for the patient. The versatility of 5 spot sizes allows to use the ideal parameters for the clearance of dark tattoos.
Optimal treatment safety and efficacy using Top-Hat beam profile, which ensures homogeneous distribution of energy.
At Heler we understand that for most patients, pricing is a factor in their decision. The Tattoo Removal service requires highly specialised equipments like the Lumenis M22 to remove tattoo.
The Total Treatment cost for tattoo removal depends upon the size of your tattoo and the total number of treatments required for removal. Since every situation is different it’s best to have a comprehensive consultation with the Dermatologist / Skin Specialist focussed on the value of the procedure & not what we charge.
At Heler, we use Lumenis M22 Q-Switched Nd:Yag for tattoo removal. It takes anywhere between 6-8 sessions of laser treatments each session spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Multicoloured and professional tattoos may require more numbers of sessions. We require a thorough consultation with our Dermatologist to understand the density and the kind of ink used.
Setting expectations clearly upfront allows for patients to be satisfied throughout the experience – rather than feeling misled.
Treatments are done keeping in mind patients utmost comfort. However, the sensation of the laser treatment does cause mild discomfort like a rubber band snapping against skin. Our Doctor’s apply skin numbing creams to make it easy for the patients.
Yes, the desired outcome would be to have a complete removal of the tattoo leaving behind very negligible halo in some cases.
