IPL ( Intense Pulse Light )

Developed by the pioneer of aesthetic medicine and trusted by leading professionals around the world, The lumenis IPL Photo rejuvenation treatment is FDA cleared. Further more, as the inventor of the IPL technology, Lumenis features dozens of clinical paper proving the efficacy and safety of its technology.

The Lumenis IPL Photo rejuvenation treatment enables to offer you remarkable results on a range of skin concerns susch as age and sun spots, freckles, birthmarks, rosacea, and broken capillaries. The unique IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology gently and effectively eliminates spots, discolorations, and unwanted blood vessels.

The IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology allows treatment of pigmentation and vascular imperfections, while improving overall skin appearnance, Lumenis IPL with optimal pulse Technology (OPT) enables the treatment according to your skin type with maximum safety. Light pulses penetrate the tissue and create heat, targeting the skin imperfection in a controlled manner. The body’s natural process then removes the treated tissues, while collagen and elastic fibre stimulation occurs, resulting in a visible improvement in skin tone and overall appearance.

IPL effectively treat spider veins, reticular veins (blue veins) broken capillaries, haemangioma and rosacea. Use of IPL enables optimal tailoring of the light source and energy to effectively target the vascular condition and cause it to fade away. It creates heat inside the blood vessels which closes the vein’s walls eventually causing the vein to disappear, the IPL vascular filter is very precise and only impacts the selected blood vessel and none of the surrounding skin. This technology enables cooling of your skin between pulses, which reduces the chance of skin damage, producing great results..

What is IPL?

Intense Pulsed Light (abbreviated IPL) describes the use of intense pulses of non-coherent light distributed over a range of wavelengths; from 515nm to 1200nm. The technology utilizes specific wavelength ranges to target various chromophores in the skin. This enables effective treatment of a broad spectrum of conditions, including vascular and pigmented lesions, skin photoaging treatments and hair removal

How IPL works?

Broad spectrum pulsed light is transmitted through a continuously cooled applicator, gently placed over the skin. Cut-off filters in the handpiece change the range of wavelengths, optimizing it for different applications and skin types. The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the relevant chromophores and damages them (blood chromophores when treating vascular lesions and melanin chromophores when treating pigmented lesions). The body’s natural processes then clear the lesion debris, giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.
