Sun Damage

Sun Damage (Uneven Skin Tone)

Most of us are born with clear, blemish free and even toned skin. But our baby skin takes one more colour and texture with every passing year. Freckles, spots, blotches, fine lines and wrinkles are the signs of sun damage. Ultraviolet rays and direct heat from the sun can damage the skin leading to premature ageing of the skin. Heler offers a unique combination treatment called Photo-Fractional targeting oxy-haemoglobin and collagen which results in even tone, smooth and clear skin. It enables complete rejuvenation of skin. Photo Fractional combines both IPL and ResurFx thereby treating both skin pigmentation and texture simultaneously.

How it Works

Fine lines and Wrinkles from Sun Damage

Heler’s non-ablative fractional ResurFx is ideal for collagen remodelling. The remodel collagen erases those fine lines, improves the texture thereby achieving the young, clear and softer skin. In cases of uneven skin tone the Q-Switched Nd:Yag is used in combination with ResurFx to even out skin tone and improve texture.

This includes two technologies, an IPL (Intense Pulse Light) and ResurFx (non-ablative fractional ) so that both skin tone and texture are treated simultaneously. Heler’s Photofractional treatment is a complete skin rejuvenation treatment, enabling our Dermatologists to offer exceptional results on a range of skin ageing concerns such as pigmentation, age spots, sun spots, vascular lesions, uneven texture and skin tone. Photo fractional is also the treatment of choice for stretch marks removal.

  • Sun Damage
  • Fine Lines & Wrinkles
  • Un-Even Skin Tone
  • Stretch Marks Removal
  • Freckles and Pigmented Spots

IPL targets haemoglobin removing both unwanted pigmentation and minor blood vessels from the skin, while ResurFx fractional laser stimulates the production of new collagen and elastic fibres in the deeper layers of skin. Together with neo-collagenisis and depletion of pigmentation stimulates a more radiant, youthful, clearer and smoother skin.

Typically 4-6 sessions are required for optimum results. A numbing cream or topical anaesthesia is applied 45 minutes before the procedure and the actual session lasts about 20-30 minutes. One may experience a warm or prickling sensation as the laser is shot but the treatment is gentle and should not feel uncomfortable.
